The Jazz Gallery Vinyl Listening Series

The Jazz Gallery presents our new
Vinyl Listening Series
March 5th, April 2nd, May 14th 2018

Join The Jazz Gallery for our new series! To be held in the homes of several supporters of The Jazz Gallery, each evening features a curated vinyl listening experience and discussion, with wine & cheese supplied.

The cost is $120/$100 members for all 3 evenings, or $50/$45 each.

“Dan’s Dilemma”
Join host Hank O’Neal (The Jazz Gallery Chairman, Record Producer, Renown Photographer) and curator Dan Morgenstern, the Dean of American jazz scholar/critics, NEA Jazz Master and multiple Grammy Award winner at Hank’s downtown loft for an evening of listening & discussion, and wine & cheese.

Dan’s Dilemma is that he had heard almost everything on records that matters for seventy-five years, often at the actually recording sessions – so choosing records of importance is no mean feat! However, he has picked about 15 recordings from roughly the 1920’s to the 1980’s, that he first heard on vinyl, and which he feels were significant then and remain so today.
